UFO Contacts | Incident in Suffolk | Britain's Roswell

A senior U.S. military commander who led the investigation into UFO sightings in Suffolk has spoken out about the incident for the first time in 30 years.
The incident in 1980 was dubbed Britain's Roswell and became a topic of fascination in the UK after a group of servicemen went into Rendlesham Forest to investigate some mysterious lights and came out convinced they had seen seen an alien spacecraft.
Now one of the men involved has spoken out for the first time and has admitted the entire episode could have been a hoax.

U.S. Air Force Colonel Ted Conrad was base commander of the airfields at Woodbridge and Bentwaters, near Ipswich.
At the time the base is believed to have stored nuclear weapons.
After spotting some strange lights in the sky two nights in a row, Col Conrad went to investigate and, after clearing some bushes, found some strange markings on trees, which he believed could have indicated a spacecraft landing.
He then picked a group of his own men and sent them into the forest that evening.

Armed with night vision goggles and a camera they searched the area and after seeing nothing suspicious some of the men returned to base.
However, Col Conrad's deputy, Lieutenant Colonel Halt, stayed behind and kept in touch with his superior via radio.
Lt Col Halt then reported he saw more lights on the ground and in the sky.
Other senior officers on the base went outside to see if they could see the lights but nobody was able to, despite it being a perfectly clear evening.

Lt Col Halt, left, filed a report to the MoD and said he believed the lights were extraterrestrial while Kevin Conde, right, admitted to the BBC that he had played a prank on a colleague while he was working at the base
He later filed a report to the Ministry of Defence and explained he believed the lights were 'extraterrestrial in origin' and also accused the U.S. and UK security services of trying to cover the incident up.
Col Conrad has always remained silent about the incident, until now.
He has said that a number of people tried to validate Halt's story but nobody was able to and said there was no 'hard evidence' to back up any of his deputy's claims and believes the entire incident might have been an elaborate hoax.
Speaking to Dr David Clarke, UFO adviser to the National Archives, he said: 'He should be ashamed and embarrassed by his allegation that his country and England both conspired to deceive their citizens over this issue. He knows better.'
The former commander has also dismissed Sergeant Jim Penniston's claims that he had gone into the woods on the first night of the sightings and claimed he touched an alien aircraft.
Col Conrad said he interviewed Penniston who did not say that he had touched the aircraft but did say he saw lights in the distance.
'We saw nothing that resembled Lt Col Halt's descriptions either in the sky or on the ground,' he said.

Despite Col Conrad's attack on his former colleagues, Dr Clarke believes that Halt could have witnessed an optical illusion, insisting: 'I don't think anyone, least of all Conrad, doubts that Halt saw 'something'.
'They had an extraordinary experience and that experience would remain extraordinary regardless of whether ultimately it was a lighthouse or poachers' lanterns - which has also been suggested.'
Kevin Conde, a former U.S. security police officer near RAF Woodbridge, once told the BBC's Inside Out programme that he played a prank while working at the base.
Conde said he only became aware of the incident 15 years after it happened and said the sightings fitted the description of a hoax he played on a colleague at the same time as the Rendlesham Forest Incident.
The Suffolk incident resurfaced claims from those living in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 when an unexpected crash was alleged to have been the remains of a spacecraft and alien bodies.
But this was rejected by the U.S. military following a close investigation into the wreckage.

Alien Skull Found | 1000 Years Old | Breaking News

Archaeologists in Mexico have uncovered 25 “alien”-looking human skulls with in a cemetery in the northwest state of Sonora, they said today.
Some of the skulls showed “deformities,” said Cristina Garcia Moreno, who worked on the excavation project with Arizona State University, which analyzed the bones. The bones are about 1,000 years old, dating from 945 A.D. to 1308 A.D.
“This was an Hispanic cemetery with 25 skulls, and 13 of them have deformed heads,” Moreno told ABC News today. “We don’t know why this population specifically deformed their heads.”
Moreno said that scientists had found skulls in other parts of Mexico, including Guasave, south of Sonora that also showed similar deformities in certain groups of people. Scientists believe they put beams of wood on the front and back of individuals’ heads and wrapped the wood with bands to exert pressure on the skull, Moreno said.
“We know that in some parts of Mexico, people deformed their heads because they wanted to distinguish important people or they wanted to distinguish people from one group from another,” she said.
Moreno said that skulls like this had never before been found in Sonora, and that many of the skeletons in the cemetery were those of children.

Several Nuclear Tests | Bombs That Will Be Used in the Third World War

nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission or a combination of fission and fusion. Both reactions release vast quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter. The first fission ("atomic") bomb test released the same amount of energy as approximately 20,000 tons of TNT. The first thermonuclear ("hydrogen") bomb test released the same amount of energy as approximately 10,000,000 tons of TNT.
A modern thermonuclear weapon weighing little more than 2,400 pounds (1,100 kg) can produce an explosive force comparable to the detonation of more than 1.2 million tons (1.1 million tonnes) of TNT. Thus, even a small nuclear device no larger than traditional bombs can devastate an entire city by blast, fire and radiation. Nuclear weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction, and their use and control have been a major focus of international relations policy since their debut.
Only two nuclear weapons have been used in the course of warfare, both by the United States near the end of World War II. On 6 August 1945, a uranium gun-type fission bomb code-named "Little Boy" was detonated over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Three days later, on 9 August, a plutonium implosion-type fission bomb code-named "Fat Man" was exploded over Nagasaki, Japan. These two bombings resulted in the deaths of approximately 200,000 people—mostly civilians—from acute injuries sustained from the explosions. The role of the bombings in Japan's surrender, and their ethical status, remain the subject of scholarly and popular debate.
Since the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, nuclear weapons have been detonated on over two thousand occasions for testing purposes and demonstrations. Only a few nations possess such weapons or are suspected of seeking them. The only countries known to have detonated nuclear weapons—and that acknowledge possessing such weapons—are (chronologically by date of first test) the United States, the Soviet Union (succeeded as a nuclear power by Russia), the United Kingdom, France, the People's Republic of China,India, Pakistan, and North Korea. In addition, Israel is also widely believed to possess nuclear weapons, though it does not acknowledge having them. One state, South Africa, fabricated nuclear weapons in the past, but as its apartheid regime was coming to an end it disassembled its arsenal, acceded to the NPT and accepted full-scope international safeguards.
The Federation of American Scientists estimates there are more than 17,000 nuclear warheads in the world as of 2012, with around 4,300 of them considered "operational", ready for use.

The mushroom cloud of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, Japan on August 9, 1945 rose some 18 kilometers (11 mi) above the bomb's hypocenter.

REAL Human Hybrid

Scientists have created more than 150 human-animal hybrid embryos in British laboratories.
The hybrids have been produced secretively over the past three years by researchers looking into possible cures for a wide range of diseases.
The revelation comes just a day after a committee of scientists warned of a nightmare ‘Planet of the Apes’ scenario in which work on human-animal creations goes too far.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority is currently considering whether donors can be paid for their services
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority is currently considering whether donors can be paid for their services
Last night a campaigner against the excesses of medical research said he was disgusted that scientists were ‘dabbling in the grotesque’.
Figures seen by the Daily Mail show that 155 ‘admixed’ embryos, containing both human and animal genetic material, have been created since the introduction of the 2008 Human Fertilisation Embryology Act.
This legalised the creation of a variety of hybrids, including an animal egg fertilised by a human sperm; ‘cybrids’, in which a human nucleus is implanted into an animal cell; and ‘chimeras’, in which human cells are mixed with animal embryos.
Scientists say the techniques can be used to develop embryonic stem cells which can be used to treat a range of incurable illnesses.
Three labs in the UK – at King’s College London, Newcastle University and Warwick University – were granted licences to carry out the research after the Act came into force.
All have now stopped creating hybrid embryos due to a lack of funding, but scientists believe that there will be more such work in the future.
The figure was revealed to crossbench peer Lord Alton following a Parliamentary question.

Last night he said: ‘I argued in Parliament against the creation of human- animal hybrids as a matter of principle. None of the scientists who appeared before us could give us any justification in terms of treatment.
‘Ethically it can never be justifiable – it discredits us as a country. It is dabbling in the grotesque.
‘At every stage the justification from scientists has been: if only you allow us to do this, we will find cures for every illness known to mankind. This is emotional blackmail.
‘Of the 80 treatments and cures which have come about from stem cells, all have come from adult stem cells – not embryonic ones.
‘On moral and ethical grounds this fails; and on scientific and medical ones too.’
Josephine Quintavalle, of pro-life group Comment on Reproductive Ethics, said: ‘I am aghast that this is going on and we didn’t know anything about it.
‘Why have they kept this a secret? If they are proud of what they are doing, why do we need to ask Parliamentary questions for this to come to light?
‘The problem with many scientists is that they want to do things because they want to experiment. That is not a good enough rationale.’
Test centre: Newcastle University was another site where human animal hybrid testing was being undertaken

Earlier this week, a group of leading scientists warned about ‘Planet of the Apes’ experiments. They called for new rules to prevent lab animals being given human attributes, for example by injecting human stem cells into the brains of primates.
But the lead author of their report,  Professor Robin Lovell-Badge, from the Medical Research Council’ s National Institute for Medical Research, said the scientists were not concerned about human-animal hybrid embryos because by law these have to be destroyed within 14 days.
He said: ‘The reason for doing these experiments is to understand more about early human development and come up with ways of curing serious diseases, and as a scientist I feel there is a moral imperative to pursue this research.
‘As long as we have sufficient controls – as we do in this country – we should be proud of the research.’
However, he called for stricter controls on another type of embryo research, in which animal embryos are implanted with a small amount of human genetic material.
Human-animal hybrids are also created in other countries, many of which have little or no regulation.

UFO Sightings | Cotulla, TX | Breaking News | Disclosure

Cotulla, Texas is the latest ground zero for UFO sightings and residents are seriously spooked. Numerous sightings of unidentified flying objects have been reported in the last week, and several have been caught on video and surveillance cameras.

According to a report by local TV station KENS5, uploaded to YouTube on Jan. 27, the activity is enough for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) to send an investigator who has ruled out most of the sightings as anything out of this world. But one picture has yet to be definitively discounted.
In the photo, taken by a surveillance camera set up in an oil field troubled by looting, a classic flying saucer shape is clearly seen. The object appears to have landed in the field and lights seem to be encircling the hull.
MUFON investigator John Cross appears on camera for an interview, explaining that at least one video is of a landing aircraft filmed at an odd angle. His training leads him to believe that the saucer object on the security footage may be a time-lapse photo of a vehicle passing by, with a blinking turn signal causing the light effect on the UFO.
No matter what official explanation may be given, the residents of Cotulla have been keeping an eye on the skies and attempting to document this rash of sightings with video and camera phones

    Ancient Airplanes | Nazca Lines

The Nazca Lines  are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. They were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. The high, arid plateau stretches more than 80 kilometres (50 mi) between the towns of Nazca and Palpa on the Pampas de Jumana about 400 km south of Lima. Although some local geoglyphs resemble Paracas motifs, scholars believe the Nazca Lines were created by the Nazca culture between 800bc and 800 AD. The hundreds of individual figures range in complexity from simple lines to stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks, orcas, and lizards.
The lines are shallow designs made in the ground by removing the reddish pebbles and uncovering the whitish/grayish ground beneath. Hundreds are simple lines or geometric shapes; more than seventy are zoomorphic designs of animals such as birds, fish, llamas, jaguar, monkey, or human figures. Other designs include phytomorphic shapes such as trees and flowers. The largest figures are over 200 metres (660 ft) across. Scholars differ in interpreting the purpose of the designs, but in general they ascribe religious significance to them. Other theories have been summarized as follows:

"The geometric ones could indicate the flow of water or be connected to rituals to summon water. The spiders, birds, and plants could be fertility symbols. Other possible explanations include: irrigation schemes or giant astronomical calendars."
Due to the dry, windless, and stable climate of the plateau and its isolation, for the most part the lines have been preserved. Extremely rare changes in weather may temporarily alter the general designs. As of recent years, the lines have been deteriorating due to an influx of squatters inhabiting the lands.

    USA Deploying Missile Interceptors

The U.S. is deploying 14 new ground-based missile interceptors in Alaska
to counter renewed nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran, Defense Secretary
    Chuck Hagel said Friday.

The new interceptors will be based at Fort Greely, an Army launch site about 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska, and are projected to be fully deployed by 2017, Hagel said. The additions will bring the U.S.-based ground interceptor deployment from 30 to 44, including four that are
    based in California.
That will boost U.S. missile defense capability by 50 percent and
"make clear to the world that the United States stands firm against aggression,"
he said in a briefing at the Pentagon.

The announcement comes as North Korea has been making bellicose threats to void the armistice that ended the Korean War and launch a nuclear attack on the U.S. The U.S. and South Korea began annual military drills this week despite the North Korean threats.

Hagel said the U.S. would also shift some "resources," which he didn't specify, from the delayed Aegis anti-missile program in Europe to U.S.-based defenses, saying the Aegis program was "lagging" because of reduced congressional funding. And he reiterated previously announced plans to add a second U.S. anti-ballistic missile radar installation in Japan.
Taking all of the moves together, "we will be able to add protection against missiles from Iran sooner while also proving protection against the threat from North Korea," he said.
Even before the announcement, Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., a member of the Armed Services Committee, criticized the news, saying it was too little and too late.
"I applaud the Obama administration's decision, but it shouldn't have taken the predictable saber-rattling from North Korea to bring this about," Ayotte said in a statement Friday.
North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is trying to prove his strength, causing experts to worry that Pyongyang's threats could get out of control. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports.
Pointing to Iran's nuclear program, Ayotte called on the Obama administration to "move expeditiously to construct an East Coast missile defense site."
"Americans living in the Eastern United States should have the same level of missile defense protection as those in the West," she said.
