Ex-Air Force Officers Say Pentagon is Covering up Details About UFOs
Monday, former Air Force officers held a UFO press conference and stated that they witnessed UFOs during their time in the Air Force, and that the Pentagon is covering up details about the UFOs. The government has made an official statement that unidentified flying objects (UFOs) do not pose a threat, but some cannot be explained. The UFO press conference has created an internet buzz Tuesday.
Seven former Air Force officers who were all stationed at various nuclear bases around the country between 1947 and 1969 said that they have seen UFOs and in some cases were asked by the military to go after them.
"I want the government to acknowledge that this phenomenon exists," said Robert Salas, a former U.S. Air Force Nuclear Launch Officer. "I want the Air Force, the government to come forward and say this is a real phenomenon."
Salas said that they are not sure that UFOs do not pose a national security threat, and wants the government to retract that statement.
"He calls back about five minutes later and this time he's screaming into the phone. He's very frightened, I can tell by his voice," Salas said. "And he said, 'Sir, I've got all the guards out here, they've got their weapons drawn, we're all looking at an orange or reddish pulsating oval-shaped object. It's about 30 feet in diameter and just hovering above the front gate. "
Salas told the guards to keep it outside the gate and then informed another officer who was with him underground. They were monitoring the launch of 10 nuclear missiles.
"The missiles started going into 'no go' or unlaunchable condition. They were essentially disabled while this object was overhead," he said.
The UFO eventually left, and Salas said it took almost a day to get the missiles running again.
"Nobody was injured and I don't consider it an attack but it certainly it was a national security incident and something the Air Force said has never happen in their official policy documents," he said.
The Air Force has an official position about UFOs posted on its website, which states that they investigated the UFOs from 1947 - 1969, and found no evidence that they were extraterrestrial vehicles.
"No UFO reported, investigated and evaluated by the Air Force was ever an indication of threat to our national security," the statement reads. "There was no evidence submitted to or discovered by the Air Force that sightings categorized as "unidentified" represented technological developments or principles beyond the range of modern scientific knowledge."

Life on Mars | Scientist Explains | Disclosure is near 2013
For centuries people have speculated about the possibility of life on Mars owing to the planet's proximity and similarity to Earth. Serious searches for evidence of life began in the 19th century, and continue via telescopic investigations and landed missions. While early work focused on phenomenology and bordered on fantasy, modern scientific inquiry has emphasized the search for water, chemical biosignatures of life in the soil and rocks at the planet's surface, and the search for biomarker gases in the atmosphere.
Mars is of particular interest for the study of the origins of life, because of its similarity to the early Earth. This is especially so as Mars has a cold climate and lacks plate tectonics or continental drift, and has remained pretty much unchanged since the end of the Hesperian period. At least two thirds of Mars' surface is more than 3.5 billion years old, and Mars may thus hold the best record of the prebiotic conditions leading to abiogenesis, even if life does not or has never existed there.
Fictional Martians have been a recurring feature of popular entertainment of the 20th and 21st centuries, and it remains an open question whether life currently exists on Mars, or has existed there in the past.

Mars' polar ice caps were observed as early as the mid-17th century, and they were first proven to grow and shrink alternately, in the summer and winter of each hemisphere, by William Herschel in the latter part of the 18th century. By the mid-19th century, astronomers knew that Mars had certain other similarities to Earth, for example that the length of a day on Mars was almost the same as a day on Earth. They also knew that its axial tilt was similar to Earth's, which meant it experienced seasons just as Earth does — but of nearly double the length owing to its much longer year. These observations led to the increase in speculation that the darker albedo features were water, and brighter ones were land. It was therefore natural to suppose that Mars may be inhabited by some form of life.
In 1854, William Whewell, a fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, who popularized the word scientist, theorized that Mars had seas, land and possibly life forms. Speculation about life on Mars exploded in the late 19th century, following telescopic observation by some observers of apparent Martian canals — which were later found to be optical illusions. Despite this, in 1895, American astronomer Percival Lowell published his book Mars, followed by Mars and its Canals in 1906, proposing that the canals were the work of a long-gone civilization. This idea led British writer H. G. Wells to write The War of the Worlds in 1897, telling of an invasion by aliens from Mars who were fleeing the planet’s desiccation.
Spectroscopic analysis of Mars' atmosphere began in earnest in 1894, when U.S. astronomer William Wallace Campbell showed that neither water nor oxygen were present in the Martian atmosphere. By 1909 better telescopes and the best perihelic opposition of Mars since 1877 conclusively put an end to the canal theory.
Missions
Mariner 4 probe performed the first successful flyby of the planet Mars, returning the first pictures of the Martian surface in 1965. The photographs showed an arid Mars without rivers, oceans, or any signs of life. Further, it revealed that the surface (at least the parts that it photographed) was covered in craters, indicating a lack of plate tectonics and weathering of any kind for the last 4 billion years. The probe also found that Mars has no global magnetic field that would protect the planet from potentially life-threatening cosmic rays. The probe was able to calculate the atmospheric pressure on the planet to be about 0.6 kPa (compared to Earth's 101.3 kPa), meaning that liquid water could not exist on the planet's surface. After Mariner 4, the search for life on Mars changed to a search for bacteria-like living organisms rather than for multicellular organisms, as the environment was clearly too harsh for these.

Viking orbiters
Liquid water is necessary for known life and metabolism, so if water was present on Mars, the chances of it having supported life may have been determinant. The Viking orbiters found evidence of possible river valleys in many areas, erosion and, in the southern hemisphere, branched streams.
Viking experiments
The primary mission of the Viking probes of the mid-1970s was to carry out experiments designed to detect microorganisms in Martian soil because the favorable conditions for the evolution of multicellular organisms ceased some four billion years ago on Mars. The tests were formulated to look for microbial life similar to that found on Earth. Of the four experiments, only the Labeled Release (LR) experiment returned a positive result, showing increased 14CO2 production on first exposure of soil to water and nutrients. All scientists agree on two points from the Viking missions: that radiolabeled 14CO2 was evolved in the Labeled Release experiment, and that the GC-MS detected no organic molecules. However, there are vastly different interpretations of what those results imply.
One of the designers of the Labeled Release experiment, Gilbert Levin, believes his results are a definitive diagnostic for life on Mars. However, this result is disputed by many scientists, who argue that superoxidant chemicals in the soil could have produced this effect without life being present. An almost general consensus discarded the Labeled Release data as evidence of life, because the gas chromatograph & mass spectrometer, designed to identify natural organic matter, did not detect organic molecules. The results of the Viking mission concerning life are considered by the general expert community, at best, as inconclusive.
In 2007, during a Seminar of the Geophysical Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution (Washington, D.C., USA), Gilbert Levin's investigation was assessed once more. Levin still maintains that his original data were correct, as the positive and negative control experiments were in order. Moreover, Levin's team, on 12 April 2012, reported a statistical speculation, based on old data —reinterpreted mathematically through complexity analysis— of the Labeled Release experiments, that may suggest evidence of "extant microbial life on Mars." Critics counter that the method has not yet been proven effective for differentiating between biological and non-biological processes on Earth so it is premature to draw any conclusions.
Ronald Paepe, an edaphologist (soil scientist), communicated to the European Geosciences Union Congress that the discovery of the recent detection of silicate minerals on Mars may indicate pedogenesis, or soil development processes, extended over the entire surface of Mars. Paepe's interpretation views most of Mars surface as active soil, colored red by eons of widespread wearing by water, vegetation and microbial activity.
A research team from the National Autonomous University of Mexico headed by Rafael Navarro-González, concluded that the equipment (TV-GC-MS) used by the Viking program to search for organic molecules, may not be sensitive enough to detect low levels of organics. Because of the simplicity of sample handling, TV–GC–MS is still considered the standard method for organic detection on future Mars missions, so Navarro-González suggests that the design of future organic instruments for Mars should include other methods of detection.
Phoenix lander, 2008
The Phoenix mission landed a robotic spacecraft in the polar region of Mars on May 25, 2008 and it operated until November 10, 2008. One of the mission's two primary objectives was to search for a "habitable zone" in the Martian regolith where microbial life could exist, the other main goal being to study the geological history of water on Mars. The lander has a 2.5 meter robotic arm that was capable of digging shallow trenches in the regolith. There was an electrochemistry experiment which analysed the ions in the regolith and the amount and type of antioxidants on Mars. The Viking program data indicate that oxidants on Mars may vary with latitude, noting that Viking 2 saw fewer oxidants than Viking 1 in its more northerly position. Phoenix landed further north still. Phoenix's preliminary data revealed that Mars soil contains perchlorate, and thus may not be as life-friendly as thought earlier. The pH and salinity level were viewed as benign from the standpoint of biology. The analysers also indicated the presence of bound water and CO2.

I first became intrigued by this subject years ago when myself and two friends were walking home one cold clear winter night.
As a local hill came into view one of us said something like “Check how bright the moon is tonight“ as there was a glowing light shinning up from behind the hill, illuminating the underside of some low clouds.
One of my friends said “thats not the moon, the moons over there . . . “ no one spoke for about 5 seconds as we were all thinking “what is it then ! ?“
And we became even more glued to the spot when the pointed corner of a bright triangular object began to emerge slowly from behind the hill, revealing itself as the source of the eerie glow our eyes were fixed on.
Once about half of the object had emerged it produced a bright white flash that cannot of lasted longer than one fifth of a second, I’ve never been able to work out if it flashed and disappeared or the flash was it accelerating away at high speed.
But of course the three of us were high as kites talking non stop about it for the next hour or so, none of us wanting to walk home because we would have to separate in the dark!
Our sighting wasn’t such a big deal by today’s standards of giant swirling vortexes in the sky above Sydney being posted on YouTube or daylight camera footage of large UFOs wobbling over mexico city, but to our 14 year old brains back in 1996 it was amazing and had a major enough impact to kick-start a life long interest in the subject.
So what does mainstream science have to say about the do aliens exist question? oddly enough The Drake Equation is widely accepted in the scientific community while the idea that extra-terrestrials have already visited earth gets laughed out of court.
For those of you who don’t know The Drake Equation was invented in 1961 by Doctor Frank Drake as a way to logically and mathematically work out the number of planets which could harbor intelligent life.
The mere fact that We exist raises the probability of intelligent life developing elsewhere above zero, when you add the fact that there are more stars in the sky than we can possibly count (think about that) and that many of these stars are much like our own sun, with their own planets and moons orbiting at various distances, the possibility of life and intelligent life becomes certain.
Even our own Milky Way Galaxy has no fewer than 100 billion suns! Can you imagine 100 billion suns? it’s difficult to do, imagine all the orbiting planets, moons and possibilities . . . feel small? me to.

So Doctor Frank Drake was working at the National Radio Astronomy observatory in West Virginia and he and his colleagues became absorbed with the question do intelligent aliens exist?
They proceeded to aim a radio telescope at 2 nearby stars to see if they could pick up any intelligent transmissions, they did pick up some noise which was latter ruled out as being military radar (but was it?).
A year later Doctor Drake was asked by the U.S. National Academy Of Sciences to host a meeting of scientists to explore the possibility of intelligent civilizations beyond our small Earth.
While preparing for this meeting of minds he wrote down all the questions they would need to answer in order to predict the number of civilizations in the Galaxy, he then realized that if all these questions were multiplied together you would have the estimate for the number of civilizations, and this was the birth of The Drake Equation.
Doctor Frank Drake’s present day solution to The Drake Equation lists 10 thousand possible intelligent civilizations in our Milky Way Galaxy alone, so why does mainstream science have such mocking viewpoint on the idea that some UFOs are under Intelligent alien control?
One of they’re favourite arguments states that these intelligent beings could not travel the great distances to reach us . . why not? because we can’t yet?, besides, what if they have always been here?
Thankfully though the whole subject of ufo discloser and alien races interacting with people both past and present is fast becoming much less of a joke subject for most of us.
This is largely due to highly credible ex-government workers coming forward to testify about their amazing experiences, and also to the hard work of excellent investigators like Jim Marrs, Jenny Randles, David Icke, Stanton Friedman, Art Bell and Dr Stephen Greer to name but a few.
So if you are new to the subject and even a little skeptical I wish you all the best on your journey of discovery, and I’m envious of the interesting information you are about to uncover for the first time, as you attempt to answer the questions “Do Aliens Exist?” and“are aliens real?“.

MBIQ indicates that a meteor was seen minutes ago over California on 17OCT2012 at 07'42 pm. The meteor appears to be slow-moving sporatic fireball meteor and NOT related to the Orionids meteor shower. The meteor fragmented with sonics and is a very good candidate for a meteorite.

About 18:00 , I'm doing my own research . I was about to adjust the cam (sony DCR_SR85) to get some close-ups of the moon when I saw this and started filming it. It gets far away from the moon, and you can see Venus twice when I zoom out. The object was at about 5000-6000 meters altitude made no noise and it didn't flash at all. I had some trouble focusing and zooming on the object as it was moving. that's all for now.

Black triangles are a class of unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, with certain common features which have reportedly been observed during the 20th and 21st centuries. Media reports of black triangles originally came from the United States and United Kingdom.
Reports generally describe this class of UFOs as large (sometimes enormous), silent, black triangular objects hovering or slowly cruising at low altitudes over cities and highways. Sightings usually take place at night. These objects are often described as having pulsing colored lights that appear at each corner of the triangle.
Black triangle UFOs have been reported to be visible to radar, as was the case with the famous Belgian UFO wave. During these incidents, two Belgian F-16s attempted to intercept the objects (getting a successful missile lock at two occasions) only to be outmaneuvered; a key conclusion of the Project Condign report was that no attempt should be made on the part of civilian or RAF Air Defence aircraft to outmaneuver these objects except to place them astern to mitigate the risk of collision.

But they do contain valuable metals, minerals, and even water that we might tap in the future. The feasibility of knocking a potential rogue asteroid off course is undergoing studies with money from the European Space Agency (Esa). Deimos-Space a Spanish company is designing the mission and hopes its plans will convince Esa to give the go-ahead for a full scale test on a real asteroid. The company has come up with a plan, which it calls the Don Quixote mission, to launch a pair of probe spacecraft called Hidalgo and Sancho at a far off asteroid. One would hit the asteroid at extremely high speed, deflecting it slightly from its orbit. The other would observe the asteroid and make highly accurate measurements of what happened after the impact. The idea is that the mission would tell scientists how hard they would have to hit a real rogue asteroid heading for Earth in order to deflect it safely. It was about the size of a quarter held at arm's length. I live in a very quiet area, and this thing was totally silent. The blinking lights were white and red, with a steady blue. They were shaped in sort of a square pattern. Two whites blinking and two reds lower down with the blue steady lights toward the middle. The son saw a domed shape that was illuminated by lights behind it. About 10 PM, the friend said, "Look behind you." They observed a small absolutely round and shiny bubble like object." The sphere was estimated to be the size of a tennis ball. While it gave the appearance of a bubble, "it was solid, in a way not like a bubble, there was thickness in the wall of the object." As they watched, the object floated past at less than ten feet. They could have reached out and grabbed it as the object continued slowly down the road "moving straight at six feet off the ground." There was no windl, yet this bubble zoomed on past us." It zigzagged left then right, and was halfway down the complex when they lost sight of it. The object did reflect light and there was no sound detected during the twenty-second observation. The witness who has a military background, stated, it gave him the impression that it was "a probe of some kind." Note: While reports of small spherical objects are not common, since the 1960's, Stan has recorded several that were very close to the observers, and range from several inches to a foot in diameter. She says, "To date, we have acknowledged that we scrambled fighters to investigate an unknown aircraft detected by radar. The unknown aircraft faded from our radar screens before the fighters arrived. The fighters investigated the area where the unknown radar track was located, detected no other suspicious activity or aircraft, and returned to base. At no point in their mission did the fighters "chase" anything. We did acknowledge that we did not know what aircraft caused the radar signature. "Any unknown air activity is potentially threatening-that's why we respond. Public discussion of these possibilities or our determination of actual cause does not serve the public interest. "We continue to assess over 400 other potentially threatening events since Sep 11-and will factor it into our overall threat evaluation. Despite the unfortunate publicity arising from the sensational yet unproven eyewitness account of "blue objects in the sky," NORAD is treating this event in the serious context of providing an effective air defense for North America." Thanks to Kenny Young NORTH CAROLINA RED LIGHTS FLASH OVER OCEAN OUTER BANKS -- While on the beach at 9:50 PM, my brother-in-law saw a red light about a mile south of us on the coast line on July 23, 2002. About an hour later he saw the light again just southeast of us but closer. Fifteen minutes later we both saw a similar light northeast of us. After fifteen minutes, six of us saw the light for the final time at 21:50 PM, to the southeast with single red "flash." Then it split into two "flashes" then three "flashes." Each "flash," being it's own separate light and occurring for five to ten seconds over the Atlantic Ocean. A young man witnessed a flash of light, followed by a sighting of an object that looked like a "fountain pen." The object streaked across the sky, stopped, and the truck ahead of the witness suddenly was no longer there! It sounds like a possible "abduction," a.k.a. interaction case. This UFO - Truck incident reminded me of a series of similar events that happened in Detroit in the late 1980s. I had the opportunity to discuss it with one of the witnesses. During rush hour traffic on I-275 (a major highway in the Detroit area), motorists would suddenly find themselves driving head-on into speeding traffic on the other side of the divided highway! People were so startled to see this, that it started making the evening news each time it happened. The "rest of the story" was told to me by a witness involved, who said a large semi-truck in front of him would not let him pass, causing him to think afterwards that perhaps this was a UFO! Like other motorists, he suddenly found himself driving on the other side of the divided highway head-on into oncoming, speeding traffic. To me, it sounded like highway abductions, with people and their cars put back down on the wrong side of the highway. The news never mentioned the suspected UFO involvement. My adult daughter and I were heading west at 4:00 PM, when we both saw a hovering the disk above the tree line about a mile away. As we drove closer, we could see it more clearly and observed for a couple of minutes that it never moved, and just reflected the sun like a mirror would. Neither one of us has ever seen anything like that. POCAHONTAS -- The witness was awakened by a 2:30 AM phone call from his neighbor, asking him to look at this thing in the sky on July 28, 2002. BBC Radio Cornwall dealt with the inquiries after a woman from the Southeast rang the station to report seeing lights coming down in a field. SEARCH FOR ANCIENT MARTIAN LIFE CONTINUES In the latest NASA study of a 4.5 billion-year-old Martian meteorite, researchers have presented new evidence confirming that 25 percent of the magnetic material in the meteorite was produced by ancient bacteria on Mars. These latest results were published in the journal Applied and Environmental Microbiology. The researchers used six physical properties they refer to as the Magnetite Assay for Biogenicity (MAB) to compare all the magnetic material found in the ancient meteorite -- using the MAB as a biosignature. Magnetotactic bacteria, which occur in aquatic habitats on Earth, arrange magnetite crystals in chains within their cells to make compasses, which help the bacteria locate sources of food and energy. The fact that Mars Global Surveyor data suggest that early Mars had a magnetic field is consistent with a reason why Mars would have magnetotactic bacteria. "Our best working hypothesis is that early Mars supported the evolution of bacteria that share several traits with magnetotactic bacteria on Earth, most notably the MV-1 group," said Simon Clemett, a coauthor of the paper at Johnson Space Center. Mars has long been understood to provide the sources of light and chemical energy sufficient to support life, but in 2001 the Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft observed magnetized stripes in the crust of Mars, which showed that a strong magnetic field existed in the planet's early history, about the same time as the carbonate containing the unique magnetites in ALH84001 was formed. In June, researchers using the Mars Odyssey spacecraft announced that they had found water ice under the surface of Mars. These attributes, coupled with a carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere, would have provided the necessary environment for the evolution of microbes similar to the fossils found in ALH84001. Huge UFO Over Moscow
A mysterious 'UFO' seen in the sky over Moscow has sparked speculation that the city has been visited by an alien spacecraft.
The pyramid-shaped object was said to have remained for hours over the Red Square in the Russian capital.
The fuzzy grey shape was apparently captured on film in at least two separate videos – one filmed during the daytime and another at night – which became an online sensation.
But sceptics suggested there would be thousands of videos, rather than just two, if the object really had remained in the skies for hours.
Russian police have not commented on the alleged sightings.
The reports of the pyramid come just days after a Russian missile launch set off a spate of UFO sightings in Norway.
The dramatic light spiral seen over the north of the country prompted theories that it was caused by a meteor, the Northern Lights or even aliens.
However, Russia later revealed that its test-firing of a new intercontinental missile had ended in failure – at the same time as observers witnessed the early morning light show.
